For discussion…

I have no pictures, no knitting, no nothing for you as I only seem to be able to sit on my couch and stare off into space these days. Oh and the 10 bloody pages on the passé composé I did last night – trust the french to turn something as simple as talking about an event in the past into a nightmare of exceptions and pronomial pronouns (which you can take and stick where the sun don’t…well never mind)…

So I leave with a discussion topic…

Why do I never have enough needles? It seems to me that I need a series for projects on hand, but a whole other set just for playing and swatching and dreaming for the future.

Some please tell me that I am not the only one contributing to buying Kelly Petkun at KnitPicks a huge yacht?

Finally I leave with this: Courtesy of sadly blogless Yvonne here is a great video for a short row heel and a new term to push into the consciousness of all- a fibrenique – anything that combines a technique and fibre.

BTW for the spinning folks – if you link to the video above, the poster also has several videos of the wrap and plying technique that was on the Spin-Off cover a couple of issues ago. Very cool!

Funny that you should mention never having enough needles on the very morning that I sat down to start a project and discovered that despite my set of Knitpicks interchangeables, the very size of tip I needed are of course in another project.

It’s getting cold, must wash fleece :)

    I think its a stashing problem…
too much needles, yarn, fabric etc.

    Bordering on hoarding? dunno.

Great video – must try on next pair of short row socks!

I’m not sure why you don’t have enough needles, but I’m sure the reason can be explained using passe compose :-) .

Maybe if you buy more needles, Kelly will take you on her new yacht! Thanks for the video on the heels – I really need to learn that.

Hey Lisa, you're learning French and I'm learning crochet (Hi Chriss, I'm France from your class last Saturday & your private lesson this Saturday). I wish you could have as much fun with your French as I'm having with crochet but I suspect that's not the case. Hang in there! Perhaps you can get your French teacher to have a discussion about knitting, crochet, spinning and dyeing wool? Hmmm, maybe not, don't want to make you come to dislike them :(

Slightly off-topic but I don't want to forget, remind me on your next trip there is a weaving supplies & crafty place in Whitevale… back road (avoiding traffic on the way home from the zoo) that you/we should investigate.. Will research/try to remember where it is exactly. :)
